Assistive Technical Assistant
Provide electrical and IT support across Golden Tree’s construction and infrastructure projects, company locations and white-label facilities. Based in Bratislava, the appointment involves regular work throughout Slovakia and Austria, with occasional assignments in Munich. The role combines practical fault diagnosis, authorised technical work and coordination with the teams responsible for each site.
The Assistive Technical Assistant supports the equipment, installations and systems on which Golden Tree’s operations depend. The remit covers construction and infrastructure activities across Slovakia, together with Golden Tree locations and white-label facilities in Slovakia and Austria. Occasional assignments in Munich form part of the role.
The working environment changes between assignments. A construction project may require assistance with local electrical installations, site equipment or connectivity. An operating hotel or spa may require a technical problem to be resolved while staff continue serving guests. You must understand these different conditions and organise your work accordingly.
You receive and assess technical requests, establish the nature and operational impact of a fault and complete the work permitted by your qualifications and assigned authority. Where specialist intervention is required, you provide the information needed for an effective response and coordinate access or further investigation.
The appointment requires practical competence, mobility and reliable follow-through. A completed intervention must leave the responsible team with an accurate account of what was done, what was verified and whether further work remains outstanding.
You assist with local electrical work, equipment faults and technical requirements at infrastructure and construction sites. Tasks are assigned according to your verified competence, the relevant site procedures and the supervision required for the work.
Within the authorised scope, you investigate faults, support installation and maintenance activities and coordinate with the responsible electrical or project specialists. You must be able to understand technical documentation, recognise when conditions differ from the information supplied and report issues before work proceeds on an incorrect assumption.
The IT remit includes workstations, peripherals, network equipment, connectivity and the systems supporting local operations. You diagnose whether a problem originates in the device, local network, configuration, application or external service, and take the appropriate action within your access rights.
You support planned installations, equipment replacements and approved configuration changes. Preparation must account for service continuity, dependencies and the possibility of disruption to an operating property.
Emergency assignments require prompt assessment and clear communication. You establish what has failed, which activities are affected and what assistance is required. Urgency must be accompanied by disciplined technical judgement.
Work records must identify the equipment or system involved, the fault observed, the action taken and the result. Recurring problems, temporary measures and unresolved dependencies must be recorded for follow-up.
Candidates must demonstrate relevant technical education or professional qualifications, together with practical capability in electrical and IT support. Electrical duties require qualifications, instructions and any authorisations appropriate to the activity and the country in which it is performed.
The required technical profile includes:
- Electrical drawings and installation documentation: understanding schematics, equipment identification, circuit information and the relationship between drawings and conditions on site.
- Electrical fault diagnosis: competent use of appropriate diagnostic equipment and recognition of the limits of the work permitted by your qualifications.
- Hardware support: installation, configuration and troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, printers and operational equipment.
- Networking: practical understanding of Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, routers, switches, VLANs, DHCP, DNS and VPN connections.
- Systems administration: working knowledge of operating systems, user permissions, service logs, monitoring and backup arrangements.
- Connected equipment and building systems: the ability to investigate communication between devices, controllers, access systems and the networks supporting them.
- Telecommunications: familiarity with PBX environments, VoIP, SIP and the diagnosis of local communication faults.
- Integrations: the ability to examine API connections, webhooks, configuration data and logs when investigating a failure between systems.
- Technical documentation: accurate equipment records, fault reports, configuration notes and completion records.
You must be able to work methodically, explain a technical issue to a non-specialist and recognise when an intervention requires a different level of expertise or approval. Access credentials, company information and guest-related systems must be handled through approved channels.
The role becomes more demanding as responsibility increases. Candidates should be prepared for assignments involving several affected systems, active project environments and coordination with multiple operational teams. The standard required is a solution that has been properly checked and documented.
The gross monthly salary for the first 16 months is €2,190.
Following this period, a monthly bonus of €200 is introduced for an initial six-month bonus stage. After a further 14 months, the monthly bonus increases to a guaranteed €800. Bonuses are additional to the applicable base salary. The complete payment schedule is to be specified in the employment offer.
Required rail travel is fully company-funded. Economy-class rail travel applies during the first 16 months, with an upgrade to business-class arrangements after that period, where the service is available.
For emergency assignments, company-funded UberX travel is provided for infrastructure and construction work. Emergency travel connected with Golden Tree locations and white-label operations uses executive-category Uber arrangements where available.
At the later progression stage, the travel provision extends to business-class rail or company-arranged Uber Black or Bolt Executive journeys, according to the assignment and local availability. These arrangements cover authorised business travel.
The public job classification is GE6-5. “G” identifies the general job category, “E” denotes external entry and “6” identifies the category level. The final “5” is the internal progression indicator.
Further advancement is possible through technical and infrastructure appointments on other projects. This remains a field-based career route. Transfer into office or back-office appointments is not available through this position.
Progression brings greater technical responsibility and more demanding assignments. Readiness is assessed through the quality of completed work, judgement during faults and emergencies, documentation and dependable cooperation with the responsible project and operational teams.
