Operational Compliance Officer
A structured route into Operational Compliance under a Slovak employment contract, combining infrastructure, construction, spa operations, management and CCD placements. Following these rotations, you complete two years as an Assistant to the Operational Compliance Officer, developing responsibility for operational reviews, documented findings and follow-up across Golden Tree’s activities.
Operational Compliance examines how Golden Tree’s activities are carried out in practice. The function connects conditions on site with operating procedures, project requirements and the information provided to management.
The appointment requires familiarity with several working environments, including infrastructure and construction projects, white-label facilities, AURIM spas and the offices coordinating them. The development programme provides experience of these settings before you assume Officer responsibilities.
During the assistant period, you support operational reviews, prepare records, examine supporting documentation and follow up on outstanding actions. You learn to distinguish an isolated mistake from a recurring weakness and to present findings with sufficient evidence for the responsible manager to act.
Following promotion, your remit includes reviewing assigned operations, identifying departures from requirements, reporting concerns and verifying that agreed corrective action has been completed. Matters requiring technical, legal or other specialist decisions are referred to the appropriate function.
Assessment standards are demanding. Accuracy, consistency, professional judgement and the quality of follow-through determine progression. Conclusions must reflect the evidence available, and unresolved matters must remain visible until they have been properly addressed.
Entry into the main programme is preceded by a two-month project assessment within a Slovak infrastructure project of The Golden Tree's National Enterprise Group s.r.o. This initial placement requires its own appropriate employment arrangement, with duties, remuneration and working conditions agreed before it begins.
Achievement of the required assessment score allows progression into the main programme under a Slovak employment contract. The departmental sequence is:
StageAssignmentDuration1Golden Tree office, Slovakia2 weeks2Golden Tree infrastructure departments, Nitra region1 week per department3Golden Tree construction projects, Nitra region2 weeks4Golden Tree construction projects, Košice region2 weeks5Golden Tree white-label facilities, Salzburg2 weeks6AURIM spa operations, Vienna1 month7Golden Tree management, Slovakia4 months8CCD team, Vienna2 months9Assistant to the Operational Compliance Officer2 years
The infrastructure and construction assignments introduce project oversight, documentation, coordination and the relationship between planned work and conditions on site. The Salzburg and Vienna placements provide experience of service operations under both partner-hotel identities and the AURIM brand.
The management and CCD assignments develop an understanding of internal decisions, reporting, case handling and escalation. These perspectives form the basis for the subsequent two-year assistant appointment.
Progression requires achievement of the specified quality standards. Completing the scheduled time alone does not establish readiness for the next appointment. Officer promotion follows successful completion of the rotations, the assistant period and the required assessments.
Candidates must be prepared to learn the operation in detail before assessing its performance. This requires close observation, accurate documentation and the ability to ask precise questions without reaching conclusions prematurely.
The language requirements, expressed using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, are:
- Slovak at C1 or above.
- English at B2 or above.
- German at B1 or above on entry, progressing to B2 within the first six months of the main employment contract.
Clear written reporting is essential. You must be able to describe an observation, identify the relevant requirement, explain a discrepancy and record what remains to be resolved. Verbal communication must be equally clear when discussing findings with project personnel, facility teams or management.
Candidates should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, operational records, project documentation and internal communication systems. Experience in administration, quality assurance, project coordination, infrastructure or operational support provides useful preparation.
The role requires discretion, dependable follow-through and the ability to receive and apply detailed feedback. Assessment uses strict internal quality scores, including the standard of the work produced and the consistency with which responsibilities are fulfilled.
Daily travel forms part of the working pattern. Candidates must be able to work across offices, active project environments and operating facilities while maintaining continuity in their records and assignments.
The main programme is undertaken under a Slovak employment contract. Base remuneration progresses according to completed service under that contract:
Service periodGross monthly base salaryFirst 8 months€2,200Months 9–28€2,600From month 29€3,600
Each salary level is paid on a 14-payment annual basis. Payment dates and the treatment of partial employment years are set out in the employment terms.
The increase after 28 completed months is a salary milestone. Appointment as Operational Compliance Officer follows the separate requirement to complete the departmental programme and two years in the assistant role, together with the required assessments.
Following promotion to Officer, performance bonuses of up to €7,000 gross per month may be earned in addition to base salary. These payments depend on achievement of the applicable targets and quality scores. The maximum is a conditional bonus ceiling, with assessment and payment governed by the bonus scheme.
The employment package includes fully company-funded private health insurance and a private pension arrangement. Coverage, provider terms and the benefits included are specified in the employment documentation.
Required business travel is company-funded. Rail tickets are provided, with business-class rail arrangements available following promotion to Officer, where offered on the route. Where rail travel is unavailable, journeys are arranged through company-funded ground transport, including Uber Black or Bolt Executive accounts where those services operate.
The public job classification is GE/I6-7. “G” identifies the general job category, “E/I” denotes external or internal entry, and “6” identifies the category level. The final “7” is the internal progression indicator associated with advancement into higher appointments or other parts of Golden Tree.
